WHO AM I?
I was born in 1978 in Iran, and I have lived in the Czech Republic since I was six years old. Aside from a few short stays abroad, I grew up in the South Bohemian town of Tábor, of which I am a permanent citizen. This is also where I took up photography in 2004 through drawing and graphics. I began my work photographing weddings, which I still do to this day in addition to other branches of reportage photography. I later began taking portraits, which naturally ensued from reportage photography, followed by more technical photography of interiors and architecture.
I generally try to keep my photography as natural as the individual contract allows, moving around a lot, watching from the background, and trying to find the spontaneity of the situation in reportage photography. This also why I avoid the element of disruptive flash devices as much as possible. In other words, I hardly use the flash when shooting a reportage, or large strobes when shooting portraits. I prefer natural light, and in the case of portraiture in interiors I use one permanent light, which provides a more natural, almost film-like look to the resulting photograph. When shooting interiors and architecture, I like to focus on details, which helps bring the given subject matter to life.
I hope our tastes will meet in my personal gallery.
